Forcing You Away is the first book in Archer and Everleigh’s duet and the fifth book in the Lawton Ridge Duet Series. Althoug you can read each duet on its own, it is highly recommended to read all the books in the right order for the better readin experience. You will not regret this!

 

Let me tell you, I was so, so, SO excited for this book. I loved Everleigh the moment I met her and I couldn’t wait to start reading her story. She is such a joyous character it’s really hard to not love her.

 

Archer is, like Tyler and Noah from the previous books, an ex-con who met Tyler in prison because they shared a cell togheter and after five years he is being released and now living with Everleigh due to Tylers want to help him. And because Tyler is like a lot of other big brothers, he set ground rules for Archer living with Everleigh with the most important being, hands- off her.

Archer was, surprisingly, a sweetheart and very protective of not only his sister, whom he went to prison for, but now of Everleigh to. They have great chemistry and banter throughout the book and I loved their development. They are perfect for each other and I can’t wait to read the conclusion of their story.

 

As usual the book ends with a cliffhanger that left me completely shocked because I didn’t see this coming but don’t worry, the final book will be available on 16. November!

 

Forcing You Away is a brother’s best friend, roommates to lovers, slow burn romance with incredible characters, lots of fun and sweet moments and a little twist.

It follows Marnie, who got left at the altar and ends up being a meme and Griffin, a bartender who becomes Marnies borrowed boyfriend. I absolutely adore the fake dating trope and the concept of the Fairy Godmother Agency was amazing. Marnie and Griffins chemistry was amazingly shown and I enjoyed their banter and friendship development so much. This was such a quick, funny and lightweighed story with a lot of sweet moments between those two characters and I can’t wait to read the other books.    Break Your Little Heart - Charleigh Rose I’m so happy that this book is FINALLY here, I waited a long time for this and it didn’t disappoint me in the slightest.    Holden and Valen had me at hello, I loved their relationship, their banter, their tension and especially all the emotions. Valen is the one in their relationship that doesn’t want a relationship and wants to keep things casual whereas Holden quickly realises that he wants her for himself. He really surprised me with his patience and gentleness and I loved to see his sweet side.   This book is by far my favourite one of Charleighs books. I loved both Holden and Valen individually and as a couple and their emotions were really well written. The plot had it ups and downs, it was very focused on the relationship with a little side plot but I totally enjoyed it.    I highly, highly recommend reading the first book in the series. It was so cute but also funny and I couldn’t stop swooning! It follows the very shy „wallflower“ Daisy, who has a crush on her lab class partner Liam and Jordan, the bad boy hockey player with a heart of gold.
