I received a copy of Wrangling the Cowboy in exchange of an honest review. Thank you so much for this opportunity.
Wrangling the Cowboy is the third book in the Circle B Ranch series but can be read without reading any of the other books, since it is a standalone. The book focuses on Gavin and Maize’s story, whom you might know as Chasing Him John and Milas daughter.
She can pretend she’s over him, but he’s not letting her go that easily.
Maize Bishop spends her days cooking and baking for her family’s bed and breakfast. The last thing she has time for is a relationship, especially when there are no single men within a hundred-mile radius. When a mysterious newcomer flirts with her over drinks, she gives in to his mesmerizing green eyes and goes home with him.
Now that he works for her family’s ranch, she’ll avoid him at all costs.
There are only so many places to hide, and keeping her distance is easier said than done. After months of giving her space, Gavin’s tired of waiting for Maize to admit what he knows they both want—a second round between the sheets. It may only take eight seconds to win a championship, but he’ll prove to her that he can go all night long.
She’s too young, he’s too arrogant, and together, they’re electric—the perfect recipe for disaster.
First of all, I really enjoyed reading Wrangling the Cowboy. Although I don’t really like age – gaps, I had no problems reading their story because Maize is a very mature woman and Gavin was just so sweet and cared so much for Maize, so in my opinion, they are an excellent match.
Both captured my heart at the very second and I couldn’t put the book aside before I finished it because I had so much fun reading it. Gavin and Maize made me smile and laugh all the time and their chemistry was just...WOW. I also really liked the scenes between Maize and her sister Kenzie and the friendship between all the cousins. It really warms my heart reading such a beautiful family story because they all care so much for each other.
It was also very refreshing reading about Maize chasing Gavin. Wrangling the Cowboy doesn’t count to our typical „boy meets girl and chases her because she denies her feelings“ story although it seems like that kind in the beginning, but as soon as Maize accepts her feelings toward Gavin, he makes her work as hard for him, as she made him work for her in the beginning and it was a really sweet part of the book.
I haven’t read any of the other books, neither the Bishop Brother series nor the first two books of the Circle B Ranch series, but I really look forward doing it.
Reading Wrangling the Cowboy made me want to read every book that includes someone of the Bishop family because I want to know everything about that big, hilarious and sweet family and I am already so excited for the next coming books in the series.
