Buy-In - Mia Kun

 Buy-In

 Mia Kun

Buy- In is the second book in Mia Kun’s Elites of Eastview High series and follows Matt and Kiki. We already got a first glimpse of their relationship in the previous book and to say it‘s a messy one would be an understatemant.

They constantly threw each others mistakes and struggles in their faces with such hatred and toxicity that I questioned if they even liked each other. Yes, sometimes you need someone who tells you when you did something wrong or need to change your behaviour and I get that Matt is an addict and Kiki had her own issues but they didn’t help each other, they made the other one feel worse and in my opinion that isn’t a sign of love. So, I had a very difficult time with both characters.

The plot was messy too and seemed to be a mirror for their relationship. I had the feeling that there was a lot left unsaid and there were a few plot points that weren’t further explained or discussed which left me with a few questions.
I’m happy that both of them worked on themselves and seemed doing better at the end since they had a lot to get through and deal with, so they both got their deserved happy end.

I enjoyed reading about the other characters again and I’m excited for Gabriel and Natalie’s story and I'm really sorry but this book wasn’t it for me.
