Camp Nerd - Bella Jewel (ARC)

 Camp Nerd - Bella Jewel

ARC kindly provided in exchange for an honest opinion.

It is supposed to be a relaxing vacation to focus on their mental health and to take a break from real life and its problems, but one night changes everything for Lei and the rest of her orchestra friends when one of them is found dead.

I have to be honest I am a litte ambiguous about this book. I really enjoyed reading it and especially after the dead body was found I couldn’t put it down because I really wanted to know if this had something to do with the scary story one of the men told them, or if one of them was actually a murderer.

But I had my issues with the characters. I liked Lei, the female protagonist, and her best friend, but I had my issues with Rhett, the male protagonist and love interst of Lei. I had the feeling that a lot of background information was missing and the whole relationship development was a bit too fast form me. Although I had my issues, I really enjoyed their conversations and I liked Leis insecurities and most of all, I liked that her issuses weren’t just poof gone. That was really authentic and I liked that.

The plot was also good written and it was very interesting to read about the whole murder aspect and I was positively surprised with the outcome.

To put it in a nutshell I’m going to give this book 3,5/5 because there were a few things missing for me but I enjoyed the plot and I’m excited for the next book.
