 Puck Shy - Teagan Hunter

ARC kindly provided in exchange for an honest opinion.

God, I’m a sucker for hockey romance books. I don’t even know why I love them so much but once I know a book is about hockey I can’t keep my hands away from it, especially when hockey does take place and isn’t just a side topic.

And it was a big bonus for me too, that this book was written by Teagan Hunter, because I love her writing. So, I was so excited for this book and I’m so happy I read it, it was an amazing book.

Puck Shy is about Collin, who plays hockey for the NHL team the Carolina Comets, and Harper who is an artist and sells creepy dolls. They meet for the first time, when Collin’s car breaks down and Harper nearly runs him over and because she feels so guilty, she offers him a ride home where they learn about each others love for old horror movies.

They just exchange their first name and because Harper is not into sport at all, she doesn’t recognize who he is and they also don’t exchange numbers althoug they feel that kind of spark between them.

And when Collin finds Harper on a dating app, he can’t help himself and matches with her but the big problem is: she doesn’t know he is Collin, the guy she almost ran over and spent hours in a car with, talking and discussing horror movies.

Reading about Collin and Harper was so much fun! They were both great characters and I loved their romance and banter, it was so cute. It had a lot of laugh out loud moments and I was smiling most oft he book.

Puck Shy is a sweet and adorable, slow burn romance with perfect chemistry and tension between Collin and Harper but I think what I loved most about the book, was the building relationship because it was so relatable and really good.

I can’t wait fort he second book in this series and moreover I’m so excited to find out about whom this book will be about.
