The Best of Us - Kennedy Fox (ARC)
The Best of Us
Kennedy Fox (ARC)
I received a copy of The Best of Us in exchange of an honest review. Thank you so much.
The Best of Us is the second book in the „Love in Isolation“ series by Kennedy Fox. It is a standalone series, which means you don’t have to read all the books to understand the stories but I personally would recommend it, so you get to know the characters throughout different point of views.
The Best of Us follows Ryan, Cami’s brother, and Kendall, Cami’s best friend. Both of them have one mission in mind: decorate the cabin for Cami and Eli’s honeymoon. But unfortunately there arrives a big snowstorm with them and they are forced to spend much more time together than planned.
I really enjoyed reading their story, it was fun and sweet and a bit chaotic, especially the time when they left the cabin and were separated.
Both Kendall and Ryan were such great and loveable characters and it was so amazing reading about their passion: helping other people. Whether it was Kendall talking about her volunteer work or Ryan being a doctor and worrying about his patients, it was amazing.
The main focus of the book is on the time they are spending at the cabin, which means we are following them for 14 Days and are able to witness their growing love.
In my opinion, the end was a bit rushed. I would have liked to see their love and relationship growing more or more precisely I would have loved to read about their relationship outside the cabin: back to their everyday life and especially back to work.
But all in all it was a really great book. I enjoyed reading it so much because it gave me some Christmas spirit I really need those days and it also makes me so excited for the third book, which follows Kendall’s sister Piper.
