Burnout - Rebecca Jenshak

Burnout  Rebecca Jenshak A huge thank you to Valentine PR and Rebecca’s team for sending me an ARC in exchange for my honest opinion!   Burnout is the first book in Rebecca Jenshaks brand new Holland Brothers series and follows Knox and Avery.   Knox is a pro motorcross racer but finds himself kicked of the team after punshing his teammate and needs to work on his reputation and his skills if he ever wants to race in a team and compete in the championship again. Enter Avery, a gymnast with an Olympic silver medal who needs to prove her talent after a knee injury. Knox is pretty desperate at this point and after a friend of his, begins explaining that working out with Avery would be a good idea, he finds himself at the Valley U gym, where Avery trains, and asks for help.   Their friendship/relationship begins with a rocky start but after a while a real friendship forms between them. Both are very stubborn but compassionate and caring characters. Aver...

Surprisingly Us - Erin Hawkins

Surprisingly Us  Erin Hawkins  Huge thank you to Erin Hawkins and Literally Yours PR for sending me an ARC in exchange for my honest opinion! Surprisingly Us is the last book in Erin Hawkins Unexpectedly in Love series and follows Rhys and Lettie. Rhys needs to improve his bad boy image if he wants to convince the board members that he’s the best candidate for the position of the foundation president and what better way to accomplish that than dating the talented ballet dancer and former childhood friend Colette? The only problem is that he needs to convince her to play along but little did he know, that Lettie also needs to improve her dancing in order to get the lead role in the upcoming ballet performance and fake dating and learning more about relationships suddenly sounds like a good plan. Lettie is reluctant at first, which I really liked because it seemed more authentic and suited her character. She wasn’t one to push around and told Rhys when she didn’t liked...

Break Your Little Heart - Charleigh Rose

Break Your Little Heart - Charleigh Rose I’m so happy that this book is FINALLY here, I waited a long time for this and it didn’t disappoint me in the slightest.    Holden and Valen had me at hello, I loved their relationship, their banter, their tension and especially all the emotions. Valen is the one in their relationship that doesn’t want a relationship and wants to keep things casual whereas Holden quickly realises that he wants her for himself. He really surprised me with his patience and gentleness and I loved to see his sweet side.   This book is by far my favourite one of Charleighs books. I loved both Holden and Valen individually and as a couple and their emotions were really well written. The plot had it ups and downs, it was very focused on the relationship with a little side plot but I totally enjoyed it.    I highly, highly recommend reading the first book in the series. It’s been a while since I’ve read Shayne and Thayer’s story and ...

A Borrowed Boyfriend - Angela R. Casella

Bild
A Borrowed Boyfriend - Angela R. Casella A Borrowed Boyfriend is the first book in the Fairy Godmother Agency series by Angela R. Casella. It follows Marnie, who got left at the altar and ends up being a meme and Griffin, a bartender who becomes Marnies borrowed boyfriend. I absolutely adore the fake dating trope and the concept of the Fairy Godmother Agency was amazing. Marnie and Griffins chemistry was amazingly shown and I enjoyed their banter and friendship development so much. This was such a quick, funny and lightweighed story with a lot of sweet moments between those two characters and I can’t wait to read the other books. Audio Review Copy kindly provided in exchange for an honest opinion. 3,5/5⭐️

Overdue - Avery Samson

Bild
Overdue - Avery Samson I’m so sorry to say this but I didn’t like this book. The plot sounded amazing and I was really excited because it sounded like a cute, funny small town romance about two people in their early/mid twenties who know each other since they were kids and fell in love. Somehow it was like that but the characters felt so shallow and the two protagonists had no chemistry at all. It was all very fast and there wasn’t really a moment to breath instead the next thing happened and than the next and in my opinion it was a bit too much. I still think that the plot idea was amazing and I believe that if the book was a bit longer and the characters had more time to grow and also explore their relationship I would’ve liked it more but I just think it wasn’t the right book for me.   ARC kindly provided in exchange for an honest review. 1/5 ☆

Unexpectedly Mine - Erin Hawkins

Unexpectedly Mine - Erin Hawkins Unexpectedly Mine is the second book in the „Unexpectedly in Love“ series and follows Emma and Griffin. Emma is a hopeless romantic and designs wedding dresses what brings her to Las Vegas in the first place, but what she didn't expect was seeing an engagement announcement by her ex boyfriend in the middle of her show. Heartbroken and angry about it, she decides to be adventurous and forces her best friend to watch a male revue dancer show where she meets Griffin, one of the dancers. Griffin and Emma instantly hit it off and spend the rest of the evening/night together after she watches his last dance show. So, being heartbroken, slightly drunk and in the presence of a nice, funny, handsome man, what possibly can go wrong in Las Vegas? I LOVE the fake dating / marriage of convenice trope so, so much and this book was everything I expected. Griffin and Emmas chemistry was amazing and I loved that they truly enjoyed each others company and became ...

Riot Reunion - Callie Hart

Bild
Riot Reunion - Callie Hart Going back to Riot House was something I hadn’t on my 2023 Bingo Card but I’m so, so happy that Callie wrote this book. The book starts were Riot Act ended: after graduation. We follow each couple who are all following their dreams which also means that they’re no longer living together and aren’t even in the same country but when one of them calls and needs help they let everything drop and come to help. We have all six POV’s which seems a bit much at first but I think it was perfect for this book especially because each couple has its own problem to fight so we can read three stories in one book. I was a bit skeptical at first because I thought that six different POV’s could get a bit messy but that didn’t happen and instead the plot flew perfectly. Riot Reunion was a beautifully written and intense book. It was filled with so much heartbreak but also love, happiness and loyalty and even if I’m a bit mad that Callie put my favorite couple through...
